Definition: Surface Hub


A large-screen Windows computer from Microsoft that is used for team collaboration. Introduced in 2015, the touch and pen-enabled screen is both a whiteboard and video calling system. As a standard Windows machine running Windows 10 Team Edition, organizations can create custom software to handle their unique meeting requirements. See Surface versions.






Collaborate Via Video
Hubs come with speakers, microphone and camera in two sizes: 85" (top) and 50" (bottom). Introduced in 2019, the 50" hub was given the designation Surface Hub 2S 50-inch. The next-generation large screen became Surface Hub 2S 85-inch. (Images courtesy of Microsoft Corporation.)
